Drug Detox

We recognise the challenges you’re facing. Making the choice to address your drug issue is never straightforward. Calling one of our welcoming admissions team members could turn out to be one of the best choices you ever make. We empathize with your situation, and the assessment process is quite simple to navigate. This process aims to provide you with comprehensive information about our drug detox clinic while also gathering essential details about you, enabling us to determine how we can assist you in overcoming your drug challenges.

About Our Drug Detox Program Upon your admission to the drug detox unit, one of our Support Workers will warmly welcome you, followed by a medical admission conducted by one of our highly skilled Nurses. Later that day, a Specialist General Practitioner will meet with you, ensuring that your drug detox is expertly managed by our dedicated team. Our drug detox unit is staffed around the clock by Specialist Nurses and Support Staff, along with highly trained Therapists who will assist you in gaining a deeper understanding of your drug issues and the reasons behind your drug use. The Nurses will be there to support you throughout your detox process, providing a variety of medications to help alleviate any withdrawal symptoms you may encounter. What Medications Will Be Administered We aim to keep the process straightforward for you.

If you have been using Methadone prior to your arrival at the drug detox clinic, we will utilize Methadone for your detox, gradually decreasing the dosage over time. If you have been on Buprenorphine before entering the clinic, we will also use Buprenorphine for your detox, tapering the doses over a set period. For those who have been using Heroin or other opiates, we will administer a medication called Lofexidine for detox, which will similarly be reduced over time. In cases where Benzodiazepines have been used, we will manage your detox with a gradual reduction of doses.
